World University Theatre Congress Calls for Proposals:
The XIII World Congress of the International University Theatre Association (AITU-IUTA) announces its Calls for Proposals for papers, workshops, demonstrations, and theatre performances. Vilnius University and its Culture Centre will host this key international event for researchers, artists, educators, independent scholars, practitioners, and students in Lithuania on July 8–13, 2026.
The central theme is “University Theatre in the Time of Global Challenges”. We invite you to explore how theatre responds to urgent contemporary issues, such as the climate crisis, political instability, war, the influence of AI and etc. This is a unique opportunity to connect with peers, share your creative insights, and contribute to a crucial global dialogue.
The International University Theatre Festival will run alongside the Congress, providing university theatre troupes with a dedicated platform to showcase their work and integrate into the global theatre community.
