1 st Ibero-American Amateur Theater Festival (FITA)

The Catalan National Centre of AITA/IATA, Federation of Amateur Theater Groups of Catalonia (FGATC) is proud to present the first edition of FITA, an event designed to be the leading meeting point for the IberoAmerican amateur theater scene. From December 5 to 7, 2026, the city of Tortosa will transform into a living laboratory for creation and artistic fellowship.
FITA is not merely a showcase of performances; it is a dedicated space for learning and
coexistence.
The program will include:
- Debate Networks
- Specialized Training
- Round Tables
- After-Festival Space
Who Can Apply
- Legally constituted amateur theatre groups.
- Companies originating from the Iberian Peninsula and Latin American countries.
- Proposals that demonstrate a desire to participate actively in the debate and
training spaces will be highly valued.
This Festival is organized by the Federation of Amateur Theatre Groups of Catalonia (FGATC) with the appointment of AITA-IATA and in collaboration with the Honorable City Council of Tortosa.
Application deadline: 15 July 2026
Applications must be submitted by email to fita@teatreamateur.cat together with all required documents listed in the PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES.
