Every 2 years, a similar event is organised at a different location somewhere in the world, in between the editions of the Mondial du Théâtre, organised very 4 years in in the Principality of Monaco.  Earlier editions of this event took place in Ypres, BELGIUM in 2015, Tromso, NORWAY in 2011, Masan, SOUTH KOREA in 2007.  The last edition of the Mondial du Théâtre took place in August 2017.

AITA/IATA International Amateur Theatre Festival 2019

Saint John, New Brunswick, CANADA

The next AITA/IATA International Amateur Theatre Festival will be organised in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada

 from Aug 26 till Sept 1 2019. Arrival on Aug 26, departure on Sept 1.  Through their Members (National Centres) and Associates,

the association invites amateur theatre groups from over the world to apply to participate.  

The application deadline will be October 31 2018. Application forms in English, French and Spanish.  

Groups will be notified of their selection by December 10 2018.  

During the event, AITA/IATA asbl organises its 35th World Forum and General Assembly.

Be careful, the festival will take place in Saint John, New Brunswick and not in St.John, Newfoundland.  

Do not confuse both cities when checking on flights or accommodation.  Hubs with the best connections to Saint John, New Brunswick are Montreal, Toronto and Halifax.

Over the coming months this section on the 2019 International Festival in Saint John, Canada, will be considerably expanded.

Information on the selected performances, workshop subjects, practical information, side events, programme of the AITA/IATA Forum and General Assembly, sightseeing opportunities and much more will be added to the website, preparing for this top-event of 2019.
